Cerebral, existential, and ultimately one of the most unique movies I’ve ever seen, Moon might be a bit slow or out there for some which is one of the many things I liked about it.

I love getting movie recommendations from people about films I somehow missed that are right up my alley. Moon (2009) – Again, not a new movie, but it was new to me. It’s a shame this director hasn’t done more, because his talent is clearly evident in this movie. Yes, there are some great films here and there in the US (see below), but by and large my top 10 list is steadily becoming more and more devoted to foreign films. This is part of the reason why I tend to enjoy foreign movies so much more than those made domestically these days. From Director Juan Jose Campanella, this engrossing and unbelievably well-made movie won the Oscar in 2009 for Best Foreign Film, and it’s clear to see why after watching it. The Secret in Their Eyes (2009) – Not a new movie, and one that’s been in my Netflix queue for some time. Outlined below are some of the highlights that are out now on DVD: Over the past week or so I’ve had the privilege of watching some of the most memorable (and best) movies in recent memory. Yes, Facebook is a free service that allows you to do all kinds seemingly cool shit online you couldn’t do before. Yes, Facebook made some changes to the way information is presented as well as some new capabilities the site will have in the near future.

Instead, I want to take a moment to acknowledge all the douchebaggery that has been shat upon my Facebook newsfeed over the last couple of days. The difference though, is I don’t give a flying fuck what Facebook does to their site.
